Step-by-Step Guide for Pre-Glued Lashes:
Read below for the full how-to guide on applying Press & Go lashes as a professional service.
- The client can be positioned upright or semi-upright for this treatment.
- Clean the natural lashes using an oil-free cleanser and cleansing brush. This will remove makeup and any oily residue.
- Use a clean tissue or cotton pad to thoroughly dry the lashes.
- Lashes are supplied in 3 lengths: short, medium and long.
- Choose the lengths and style most suitable for the look the client wants to achieve.
- It is best to use longer length lashes on the outer corners and shorter lashes in the inner corners.
- Graduate the lashes from the outer corner to the inner corner for best results.
- Gently pick up your chosen lash cluster with the applicator tweezers.
- Hold the lash firmly across the width of the cluster, avoiding the glue line and gently lift from the tray.
- Ask the customer to look straight ahead, but a little downwards (like reading a book).
- Gently lift the upper lid and place the lash cluster underneath the natural lashes close to the waterline but not touching it.
- Once in position, give the lash a little wiggle to secure in place, then release the tweezers.
- To fully secure, clamp the tweezers shut over the glue line to fix the lash into place. This should be done after the application of every cluster.
- Repeat this process as needed to create the desired look.
- You can expect to apply between 3-6 lashes per eye depending on the eye shape and styled required.
- Lash clusters can be cut to size if required - just use scissors to cut the band.
- Lash clusters should sit next to each other with minimal gap between them.
- For more intensity, clusters can be layered or overlapped but be careful not to overload the lash line.
- To apply to the inner corner, it is easier to pick up the lashes at a slight angle and more towards the tip.
- To further secure the clusters into place, we recommend using curved lash line tweezers as a final step.
- Ensure to clamp the glue line, avoiding the eyelid.
Top Tips for Pre-Glued Cluster Lash Application:
- Clusters can be cut in half if required.
- Ensure the lashes are clamped after each application.
- You may need to wipe the tweezers free of any glue between applications.
- When applying each cluster, follow the natural curve of the eye.
- Clusters can be placed on the waterline, just ensure it is comfortable for the client to wear.
- Once applied, the clusters are tricky to adjust – it's best to remove the lash and place again. You can sometimes re-place the same lash again if it remains sticky enough.
- The glue band is extremely sticky, and it will sometimes take a few practices to apply these correctly! Practice makes perfect!
How to Remove Pre-Glued Cluster Lashes:
- To remove, pinch each individual cluster firmly with the tweezers or with fingertips and slide the cluster off the natural lashes.
- Use an eye makeup remover to remove any glue residue on the natural lashes.
Pre-Glued Lashes Aftercare Advice for Clients:
- Lashes can get a little wet, but excessive water can reduce the time the lashes will last.
- To cleanse the eyes while wearing lashes, use a tissue or wipe to remove makeup, avoiding the lashes and the sticky band.
- To dry lashes, gently pat them - no wiping or rubbing eyes!
- Lashes can be brushed to keep them looking neat - clients should do this daily.
- Advise clients to use their fingers or tweezers to give an extra pinch on the lashes each morning to ensure they remain secure.
